Jeff brings a wealth of experience to OCR, with a strong background in defense programs, including product development and continuous improvement, plant engineering, and process optimization. His strong expertise in technical production management in small and large caliber – from technical requirements definition and costing to complete data package. He also brings extensive experience in ammunition supply chain management – from equipment and machinery specifications to procurement processes and supplier management disciplines.
In his previous positions, Jeff was involved in ammunition-related product development and took a crucial role in the production process, plant planning, and implementation.
Since 2009, Ken has driven defense and aerospace strategy and business development roles by providing day-to-day foresight, industry expertise, operational leadership, and ethical stewardship to drive each division’s success in a highly US government-specialized and regulated sector.
He plays a pivotal role as Executive Board of Directors in a multifaceted organization, encompassing strategic leadership, decision-making, and operational oversight by setting the direction as the lead capture manager to bid and proposal teams, aligning it with client objectives that involve assessing market trends, identifying growth opportunities, and developing long-term strategies for business expansion and development.
As an industry expert and visionary, Ken provides technological advancements, geopolitical trends, and industry regulations by capitalizing on emerging opportunities and navigating market/competitive challenges as the Lead of Business Development and Partnerships teams. He further cultivates strategic partnerships and collaborations on all business opportunities by fostering relationships with government agencies, defense contractors, and partner stakeholders using his years of risk assessment and mitigation experience in compliance and regulatory standards and understanding risks.
Since 2009, Ken has overseen budget allocation, financial planning, and resource management for all projects, ensuring cost-effective strategies without compromising quality or safety. His claim to success has been ethical and Social Responsibility. Ken maintains the highest ethical standards and promotes corporate social responsibility initiatives by involving and maintaining ethical practices, promoting diversity, and contributing positively to society.
Mr. Edmundo Apodaca provides the company with in-depth global perspectives, especially of Latin American affairs coupled with a strong security background. After completing a three-year tour with the U.S. Army, Mr. Apodaca worked with the Department of Justice, U.S. Border Patrol in the U.S. Mexico border in California, while continuing his education. Upon completion of studies in Criminology and Law Enforcement, Mr. Apodaca entered service with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), where he spent the next 24 years. While at the DEA, he was selected to attend a yearlong postgraduate course of Hemispheric Security at the Inter-American Defense College in Ft. McNair, Washington, D.C. For the final six years of his career with the DEA, Mr. Apodaca was assigned as the Country Attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Lima, Peru, where he led a team of over 200 Peruvian National police officers, along with 20 DEA agents, in creating sustainable drug control programs and enforcing narcotics laws. He was also responsible for advising the U.S. ambassador on all counter-narcotics enforcement matters.
After retirement from the DEA, Mr. Apodaca was employed by Baker Hughes Inc., a multi-national oilfield services company, as its International Security Manager. Mr. Apodaca’s duties landed him to Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America, implementing security programs for expatriate employees. His regional knowledge and efforts were key to being named Director of Security for the Latin America Region, based in Bogota, Colombia. During his tenure with Baker Hughes, he successfully negotiated the release of kidnapped expatriate employees on three separate occasions.
As Vice-President of Governance & Analytics, Mr. Missal oversees policy, communication, risk, document, and change management practices to improve efficiency and reporting. Mr. Missal facilitates business unit alignment into a single governance framework, to improve organizational transparency and performance. In his 30-year career, Mr. Missal focused on process efficiency and best practices integration to deliver solutions and offerings. His knowledge of technology and development results in enterprise solutions that automate and standardize processes, reduce errors and inefficiencies, realizes measurable and sustainable financial results, and produces improved transparency, quality, reporting, and labor utilization. His technical and leadership experience includes development of comprehensive cloud-based transformation strategies, envisioning and overseeing development of an automated internet backbone troubleshooting and customer interface system which realized cost savings associate with a 70% reduction of human involvement.
As the Director of Business Operations, Usman oversees effective operating procedures across OCR production facilities. He is responsible for reviewing OCR’s production procedures and policies, following OCR’s standards. He is also accountable for making inferences about factors like communication or productivity and working with the compliance department to implement OSHA procedures.
OCR takes pride in developing and executing new growth directives, where Usman works with the human resources department to hire competent personnel and oversee employee training programs. In addition, he keeps track of OCR’s procurement and margins by conducting quarterly budget reviews to maximize profits and oversees “client” support services.
Gunay Suleymanli joined OCR Global in 2021 as a Director, Business Development Middle East, Europe, and Asia (MEA) region. She brings valuable experience in the Defense Industry, supporting international relationships and assisting defense programs. Gunay’s responsibility at OCR Global is to support business growth by establishing new market opportunities and managing clients’ portfolios.
Ms. Suleymanli’s daily tasks involve conducting market research, developing business strategies, identifying new markets/opportunities, and liaising between the client and technical team. In addition, she tracks performance targets, handles proposal requests, and capture strategy.
Ms. Suleymanli graduated from Western University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. She earned her master’s degree in International Business Program from Istanbul University and is currently working on her second master’s degree in Economic Policy at the University of Marmara, Turkey.
As a Project Management Doctoral (major), Mike brings a wealth of knowledge in small “Weapons and Ammunition” Manufacturing, Assembly, and Quality Control. As the lead, he is pivotal in ensuring efficient manufacturing operations while upholding high-quality standards. He develops and executes production plans to meet operational goals that involve coordinating production schedules, optimizing workflows, and ensuring the timely delivery of products by implementing strict quality control measures throughout the production process. Furthermore, he conducts all final inspections to ensure all teams adhere to industry regulations and company standards. In addition, as a Program Manager, he identifies opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancement within the production cycle that involve implementing ISO 9001 manufacturing principles, leading quality improvement programs, including root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and driving a culture of continuous improvement in quality standards.
Heidi Uffelman is a Compliance Manager for OCR Global. In this position, she is responsible for ensuring company compliance with legal standards and internal policies. She researches and reviews current laws and regulations, and determines their impact on the Company. Heidi assists Senior Management in the creation of systems to monitor and control the risk of violations of external laws as well as internal policies. She also serves as an Assistant Facilities Security Officer (AFSO) and has completed CDSE training.
Heidi started out her career as an Intelligence Analyst at FBI Headquarters in Washington, DC. She also worked in the Violent Crimes Unit, where she worked on compiling the Top Ten Most Wanted List and prepared Identification Orders and Wanted Flyers. She created the Identification Orders for the Notorious Massey Brothers out of Louisiana. As part of a Team, she collaborated on a Major Case for the Violent Crimes/Government Reservation Crimes Unit, involving a Prison Riot Uprising that was successfully resolved. Her responsibilities as an Intelligence Analyst and Investigative Case Analyst gave her an in-depth knowledge of international geopolitics and how they affect US business.
While at the FBI, in the Civil Rights Unit, Heidi wrote a Law Enforcement Training Analysis for the Midwest Region for her Supervisory Special Agents. She assisted Special Agents in preparing training seminars at Quantico for the Law Enforcement Community. Heidi also worked with world-renowned Forensic Pathologist, Michael Baden, on an FBI major case involving the investigation of suspicious patient deaths at a Veterans Administration Hospital, which led to the conviction of a Nurse at the facility.
After leaving the FBI, Heidi worked for two Corporate Risk Companies providing global security and Kidnap/Ransom programs. She did background investigations for both companies and worked as an Intelligence Analyst on Corporate Risk, Worldwide Threat and Travel Advisories.
Heidi holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from East Carolina University. Her knowledge of international affairs and US government programs makes her an asset to our Compliance Division.
Mohamed brings to OCR a wealth of creativity and technical expertise in the field of 3D design. He builds and renders 3D models of OCR products, including ammunition and weapon system models, interior and exterior design of facilities and virtual planning. Working together with engineers, his invaluable service provides clients with clarity in their decision-making process via highly detailed and immersive information packages.
Utilizing the latest state-of-art hardware and software, Mohamed also creates high-end video presentations, and engineering configurations and modeling to assist in virtual trainings, vessel design.
Mohamed studied electro- mechanics and automation, and industrial 3D design.
