OCR maintains a high level of technical expertise to design and develop new products and/or improve the specifications of pre-existing ones. We fulfill orders through our wholly owned subsidiaries in the Americas and three ammunition factories across Eastern Europe, manufacturing non-standard and NATO small, medium and large caliber rounds.
We act as a prime contractor in the production and sale of ammunition. This includes procurement of components, sub-assemblies, load-assemble-pack (LAP) and lot acceptance testing (LAT) of the ammunition, weapons and weapon systems, including small arms. OCR partners with other Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to offer standard, non-standard and NATO approved small to large caliber ammunition to the U.S. and its allies.
Our Experience and Clients
OCR is experienced with all types of international trade, including commercial sales, foreign government and military sales. This allows us to provide our clients with standard/non-standard or NATO munitions, weapons, weapon systems and spare parts. Our authority falls under the U.S. Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) in accordance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) for manufacturing (M code) and brokering (K code) to produce and export defense articles listed on the U.S. Munitions List (USML). Our clients include the U.S. Department of Army (Picatinny), Special Operations Command (SOCOM), the U.S. Department of Navy (NAVSEA, NSWC – Crane) and foreign governments (for more click here).
Ammunition testing and Quality assurance
The OCR team of industry veterans and ballisticians have conducted hundreds of ammunition tests for millions of rounds. We have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to conduct all testing requirements for both NATO and non-standard ammunition. Our expertise includes U.S. military standards and various other standards including C.I.P., SAAMI, Mil-Spec/M-SCATP and NATO as required for Lot Acceptance Testing (LAT), Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Design Verification Testing (DVT).
We provide test management and coordination to readily facilitate accurate and timely test results compliant with all testing standards. OCR effectively assesses and identifies any potential or existing product defects. We are ISO 9001:2015 certified and we verify the results of testing through the use of certified test procedures and requirements.

OCR supplies a wide variety of ammunition, weapons and weapon spare parts and accessories. Urgent requests are rapidly filled from surplus stocks, new production or a blend of both. Our surplus stocks undergo rigorous inspection, refreshing and testing in accordance with original Eastern Bloc Mil-Bureau requirements. Any new production is closely monitored by our in-country representatives ensuring that all weapons and accessories comply with designer Technical Data Package (TDP) requirements before leaving the factory.
